Studio 8Studio 8 is a hot yoga studio in Virginia Beach rooted in individuality and built on community. For more than twenty years, this space has offered consistency, integrity, and depth of practice. Today, it continues to evolve while staying grounded in what matters: strong movement, steady presence, and room for people to grow in their own way.
Our Story
Founded in 2003 as Virginia Beach’s first hot yoga studio, Studio 8 began as a place for disciplined, consistent practice at a time when heated yoga was still unfamiliar to many. From the beginning, the focus was simple — showing up, practicing together, and building strength through repetition and shared effort.
Over the years, the studio has grown alongside the changing yoga landscape. Class styles expanded, teachers brought their own voices, and the community evolved. What never changed was the foundation: a room where people come to move, breathe, and commit to their practice.
That consistency remains the heartbeat of Studio 8 today.

Ownership
In May 2025, Studio 8 entered a new chapter under the leadership of Nicolette Reff, a long-time student who chose to step forward when the studio faced closing after more than two decades.
Rather than letting the space disappear, she stepped into stewardship. Not to reinvent it entirely, but to protect what made it meaningful.
Under her leadership, Studio 8 has remained steady and consistent while expanding its offerings and deepening its focus on intentional practice, individuality, and community connection.
The Practice Today
Today, Studio 8 offers an intentionally structured schedule designed to support a wide range of bodies and experience levels. Classes range from accessible foundations to strong heated vinyasa and restorative yin. Rather than emphasizing a single style, the schedule reflects the realities of a living community — people arriving with different capacities, goals, and seasons of life.
Teaching at Studio 8 is rooted in integrity and individuality. Instructors are selected for their experience, presence, and clarity. Each class carries the teacher’s voice while remaining grounded in respect for the practice itself.
The studio environment is intentionally simple and thoughtfully curated. Students return not because of hype, but because of consistency, steadiness, and room to practice honestly.
